Dear
Colleagues,
I would like to invite you to participate in the 7th
International Symposium on
Business Administration, which will be held in Canakkale, Turkey,
between
May
11-12, 2012.
This Symposium has been jointly organized by Canakkale Onsekiz Mart
University, Turkey and the Silesian University, Czech Republic.
This year’s theme is
“Caring Economics”. Conventionally, wealth has been
expressed
with money, possessions, and property. But the contemporary view is that the
true
wealth of a nation is measured by it’s people and their values. So, we are
calling
for a new economic system that has not been seen before. A system that
understands
and respects not only the work of caring people, but also the world we are
sharing.
What many are now discovering is that the structure of our current financial
system
often comes at the expense of our children, our families, our communities, and
our
planet. People are starting to wake up and understand that wealth is so much
more
than something material. We need an economic system that can provide
nutritious food,
good housing, and quality education, while preserving our natural landscape
and
promoting a stronger sense of community.
We hope to create a platform where various academicians and
practitioners in the field
can discuss their points of view on the subject. It is expected that the
distinguished
studies of the participants will greatly enrich the dialogue, and generate
positive and
productive conversation about the impacts of ‘caring economics practices’ in
the field
of business and economics.
We are looking forward to
receiving your contributions and seeing you in Canakkale,
Turkey on May 11th, 2012
Sincerely,
Umut EROGLU (PhD)
