On Wednesday, 6 March 2024, at 14:00, a panel on "Women Entrepreneurship in Biga" was held at the Didem YAMAN Lecture Hall of the Intellectual Activity Centre of Ağaköy Prof. Dr. Ramazan Aydın Campus.
On 8 March International Women's Day, the panel was jointly organised by Biga Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Biga Vocational School and Biga Faculty of Applied Sciences. Ayfer BAYKAL, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BİKAD, Ülker YILDIRIMCAN, Betül Urut YILMAZ and Volunteer Educator Senem AVCI from Kozçeşme Village Field Bird entrepreneur women participated as speakers.
Moderated by the Vocational School Assistant Director, Lecturer Muradiye ÖZEL ÖDÜL, the opening presentation of the panel was made by BİİBF Vice Dean Assoc. PROF. Dr. İlknur KARAASLAN. Biga Mayor Bülent ERDOĞAN, Biga Chief Public Prosecutor Hüseyin DEMİR, BİİBF Dean Prof. Dr. Hüsnü Levent DALYANCI, BİİBF Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Özgür TOPKAYA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlknur KARAASLAN, Deputy Deans of Biga Vocational School, executive women of public institutions and organisations of our district, academicians, women from Kozçeşme and our students participated in the panel.
The theatre show staged by the students of BİİBF Behind the Curtain Theatre Club and the poem they read about the importance of women in society added a special meaning to the panel.
The programme ended with the presentation of plaques to the speakers and taking souvenir photos.
